Reechout and our way to make traveling sustainable.
So here I am, back in Europe. The French Provence has been my home for a while already, and it will be for a significant while to come. We made the decision to come back to France, as a small break in-between travelling. Because I’m sure as hell not going to give that up. Over these past months I’ve kind of caught that travel bug that everyone has been talking about. I think that being back home, the weather getting colder has just reminded me of that again. At the end of this post you will know all about how Reechout is helping me to keep on travelling. If you are interested in reading anything about my travels please check out my blog page.
I still do not know what I was looking for
Many people say that they go looking for themselves, a purpose or anything else that might give more meaning to their lives. Well…. That wasn’t me. I wanted to discover more of this world and it was exciting to dive into the travelling lifestyle. It was exciting to see more of the world and to discover more about other cultures and myself. The main goal I had, leaving on such a trip was breaking out of the old routine pattern I was in. I could not stand getting up every morning at 6:30 to make my way through traffic to my work. Spending my whole day in the same office at the same place without really enjoying what I did. I wanted more adventure in life, to actually get the feeling of being alive.
I’ve started to ask myself the question, why am I here? And I think that when you really ask yourself that question it becomes hard to not think about it for a while. It doesn’t mean you’ll find the answer within a week, but it means you’ll try to start giving more meaning to your life.
But I know what I’ve lost
I do not want to be bound to these 28 holiday days a year. I want to decide when and where I go. It is not easy to accomplish such a feat in today’s world. Where everything and everyone is “forced” to work, to not take risks and follow the safe path. It is not easy to break free from this pattern, it is not easy to explain it to anyone. But i started to feel like I was exchanging life for money, and I know there must be more to to life than that. I believe that today’s world also brings opportunity. Modern technology allows you to open your laptop anywhere and be connected to the rest of the world.
Setting up the future: Reechout
In order to achieve such a lifestyle, I’ve set up an online business and I’m continuously developing my skills in order to make it work. It is called Reechout and I set it up together with my girlfriend. We want to use this business to allow ourselves to be location independent, digital nomads! Let me tell you a little about Reechout. This is a small business that is designed to help and improve the online presence of small to medium sized businesses. We do this by designing websites, translate these websites into different languages to reach a wider audience, content creation and social media management.
This is how we want to support our travels. Keep on travelling and work all over the world. The French auto-entrepreneur system is also the perfect fit for us. It lets us arrange all our administrative blabla online, and that makes it all the more easy for us. This is a new chapter in our lives, one full of risks, uncertainties but definitely one that makes life exciting.
